Dr. Rachel C. Falkner, MD, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist with additional certification in Mohs micrographic surgery at Pinnacle Dermatology in Bluffton, SC. With a rich background in both military and civilian dermatology, she brings comprehensive expertise to her practice, specializing in:
- Skin cancer diagnosis and management
- Dermatologic surgery
- Autoimmune conditions
- Pediatric dermatology
Dr. Falkner’s philosophy centers on thorough, patient-focused care, emphasizing the importance of education in achieving optimal health outcomes. Her medical journey began at the University of Alabama, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, graduating magna cum laude. She then achieved her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, followed by residency training at the prestigious Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Her service as a staff dermatologist in the United States Army honed her skills and dedication to patient care.
Now at Pinnacle Dermatology, Dr. Falkner continues to advocate for preventive care and patient education. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, reflecting her commitment to clinical excellence and ethical patient care. Outside of her clinical practice, Dr. Falkner enjoys practicing yoga and cherishing time with her husband and three daughters.
